I've always been a visual person. As a kid, I doodled, absorbed cartoons and comics like a sponge, and didn't read books unless it had illustrations, and if they were pop-up, so much the better.
As an adult, I doodle, absorb Cartoon Network like a sponge, and the truth is, for me, the movie is always better than the book. Luckily, I've been extremely fortunate that I've been able to put all this to good use, both in college (Western Washington University grad with a BA in Graphic Design) and professionally. I get to work as a designer for a marketing/advertising agency and shoot photos as a freelancer. I am constantly challenging myself to learn new things and improve the quality of my work. Photography can be tremendously rewarding and extremely challenging at the same time. But honestly, I can't imagine myself doing anything else.
