The Washington softball team will hold a weekend celebration of its 2009 National Championship, along with an appreciation of 17 years of Husky softball, with the Husky Softball Alumni Weekend, Sept. 18-20. The weekend will kick off with an alumni game at Husky Softball Stadium on Friday, Sept. 18 at 5:30 p.m., featuring current and former Husky softball players. The game will be followed by a barbeque at Husky Softball Stadium for alumni and their families. On Saturday, current and former Huskies will gather for a tailgate at the Husky Softball Field before watching the UW football team take on nationally ranked USC at 12:30 p.m.
The weekend will conclude with the Argosy Cruise of Champions on Sunday at 4 p.m. The two-hour cruise around Elliott Bay will include a dinner buffet, with a portion of the sales going to support the UW softball team. The entire 2010 team - including incoming freshmen - along with the coaching staff will be on-deck to mix and mingle with fans and alumni.
