Grisha and her team are amazing at working with any dog. From the most well behaved senior dog who just wants to learn new tricks to the teenage "problem dog" who needs basic manners. I truly believe they saved my dog's life!

Please ignore the number of stars, as this isn’t really a review, but a response to the review on April 16. I’m very sorry this student wasn’t happy with their yoga experience, and if he or she reads this and is willing to contact me, I’d like to discuss it further and see if there’s a way I can remedy their disappointment. However, I’ve done some research on the issue, and there are some misperceptions in the review that I’d like to clarify.

The first and most important is the qualifications of our instructors.

All of our instructors are experienced and certified with Yoga Alliance. Patricia, the instructor mentioned in the review, has over 5 years of experience and is both Whole Life Yoga and Yoga Alliance certified. She doesn’t teach a beginners class at our studio. Rather, she teaches a class called “Yoga for Round Bodies” that is a mixture of new and experienced students of rounder body types, who are taking yoga as a way of connecting with their body in a positive way. For many of them, that means resting without being disturbed when they need to, and they have asked Patricia to allow them to do that. Although we have no record of a student with a recent knee surgery in that class, it’s not uncommon for rounder bodied students to have knee issues, and they are asked to not do any postures that cause them discomfort.

We are located 4 blocks away from the nearest pet shop, and neither of the businesses next to us allows pets. We also have on site parking available for customers in the garage in our building. We have an automatic temperature control system that holds the room temperature between 71 and 74 degrees, unless there is a power outage.

The student in the review mentions “Yoga for Real People” which is our beginner’s series. However that class isn’t offered any night that Taproot Theater is open, and it’s not taught by Patricia. I’m wondering if the reviewer accidentally signed up for the wrong class, and if that’s part of their confusion and dissatisfaction.

Again, I apologize for the dissatisfaction. As you can tell from the other reviews, we try to do everything we can to make our students feel welcome and well taken care of.
