Fort Nisqually is one place where you can step into a historically accurate environment without concession stands, neon or any evidence that you not in the mid-1800s. The ongoing demonstrations of work in a frontier settlement makes it seem you've stepped into the pages of history. A lot of people had to come together to produce the historically accurate living tableaux that are presented there. Though I haven't seen it yet, I hear that a new building is opening where trasitional crafts will be taught to the public.
