BEST Art Gallery Tacoma Art Museum (TAM)

Every community should have a local "home town feel" art museum. Tacoma has had some great displays, most recently with a fabulous collection of Norman Rockwell. Tacoma is blessed to call Dale Chihuly a native, but every city museum should showcase their local talent work as well. Inexpensive for a few hours learning experience.

Aside from forgetting to clean the car for me...I went in there telling them exactly how much I could afford and that I had done my homework with NADA. When I found a car I liked, they printed a CARFAX for me, I went home and did a NADA quote, drove the car twice, (they allowed me to take it to my own mechanic). The car was much more than what BOOK said for "excellent" condition - and in the end they took my final offer! They were really nice guys and willing to work with me and treated me as an intelligent person! I can get my car washed anywhere - BUY YOUR NEXT USED CAR THERE!

BEST Tire Shop Les Schwab Tire Centers

I've been to the Lakewood shop on Steilacoom Blvd and the Kent shop on Central Ave. They both ROCK! The company must send them to Customer Service school...because they are the best. They give you little "freebies" and don't do work you don't need. I feel like they are honest and do a great job to just treat you right cuz they know that's what will bring you back. I bought a new "used" car and took it to them to check the alignment . The car did not need an alignment yet and they told me so AND rotated the tires for FREE because they know I'll be back (and we buy our tires there on our other car).

Yong does the best military cuts right outside the front door to McChord Airforce Base. My husband and I now live in Kent but we drive south every few weeks because he won't go to anyone else and her chair is always full with soldiers and their families. And she's cheap for a great cut! Thanks Yong.

OMGoodness! The best barbeque at reasonable prices. Have the combo plate - a taste of everything! My mouth is watering right now and I might just have to hop in my car...I know it's officially Tacoma, but it's in FIFE!

There is one in Kent Station and it is the best. Not tons of atmosphere, but they totally put their quality in their food. Fresh and healthy choices available. We buy our "taco bowl" or burritos and eat them in another area of Kent Station as we people watch. Great place.

I chose a Best Burger in Auburn, BUT Mikie has great burgers also so I chose them as best greasy spoon. Big Fat juicy burgers!

BEST Healthy Lunch Whole Foods - Issaquah

Actually I shop at the Whole Foods in Bellevue, but I have been to the Issaquah store. Both are great! You can not beat a healthy lunch from Whole Foods - Hugh full stock Salad and Hot bar, Chicken, Crepes, Soups. I have to watch my gluten and they list the ingredients in their foods! They Rock!

BEST Men's Shoes Clarke's Shoes

First off, Clarke's makes very comfortable men's shoes. My husband likes them more than anything else he has tried. He decided on THREE pair of their shoes - one black, one brown and one casual walking shoe. He's covered! The workers were great - very kind, showed us how to care for the shoes (did you know you have to get cedar shoe inserts to keep the moisture out of your sweaty shoes so they last forever and don't fall apart from day after day moisture?)Could never figure out why my husbands shoes never lasted more than two years (expensive ones!) Now I know. Check them out.

Great breakfast and sandwiches. Nice atmosphere (trains going by included at no extra charge :) and really good coffee. I get an Omelette with my own choice of toppings. Good home potatoes and chicken sausage when you want to pretend you're being healthy!

Honestly, I enjoy the atmosphere at other mexican restaurants much better, however I am hispanic and I believe you can hardly beat the authentic item choices and flavors of Tacos Guymas. We don't live in Tacoma any longer but stop by for a meal when we get the chance.

Went and met Jennifer - so friendly and easy to talk with. Starting adult class on Monday evening. Don't be intimidated ladies, go on in and get fit!
