I signed up for a Yoga for real people class at Whole Life Yoga recently based on the reviews on here but was surprised to discover that it is like taking a class inside of a wooden box (no natural light or windows). It is in a very new building but as this was a night class right near the taproot theater there was no parking for blocks, it is right next to a pet store and a dog literally barked through the entire class and it was so cold I put on a jacket for most of it.
My biggest concern was that the instructor didn't seem to notice people who stopped doing poses and one girl with recent knee surgery was told to just sit it out. Overall I felt like I was in an experimental college yoga class with a novice instructor Patricia who when I looked at the web site again it isn't clear that she is even certified so I doubt I will return as it feels unsafe.
There are tons and tons of other great yoga studios in Wallingford, Phinney and Freemont but the combination of a bad location, lack of attention to the class needs and a novice instructor just didn't make sense as the best of Seattle.
