I relish the hunt at the Lifelong AIDS Alliance Thrift Store, and oh how it can deliver... Excellent shoe selection...last time I bought a pair of $8 Campers, but cheaped out on a brand-new pair of Ferragamos for $20... They've got stuff from all sorts of eras, and also a great collection of books. Oh, and I have this great suit that I got there for 50 cents... They have everything you need to look smart.
The dill scallop chowder is the best chowder that I have ever had, despite time in Boston, Rhode Island, and on the Chesapeake Bay. There's a reason there are hoards of national awards decorating their walls. It's fast, reliable, and tasty!
Delicious charred meat with a rare center in an environment where there are many quality cheese options....and it's all on a glorious Dahlia Bakery bun. And, you can get one until 2 am.
This place is a gem. It's a great place to get the classic creme de marrons crepe--delicious chestnut cream, with or without creme fraiche. I cry for the people who eat at the Subway next door.
The service is spectacular and very consistent. The dishes are amazing--you should go there right now to get the lamb in mango pickle, agvar ghosht. They also have prawn dishes, which are pretty hard to find at other indian restaurants. This place is a gem, relaxed, reasonably priced, and you would probably have to go to Lahore to get better food.
