Mr. Rhoades is dedicated to making sure that every kid in his classroom gets the kind of instruction they need! Hands-on work, discussion groups, you name an awesome strategy and it is in his classroom.
I am an assistant coach with Mr. Rhoads with his son’s team Silver lake Timberwolves. He is a great teacher and counselor. Even thou I am an adult, he has help me with the physiology with children which is a different side of coaching they do not teach in clinics. You are never to old to learn. Good luck Tim!!

mr. rhoades is my dad, i spent, like, a day in his classroom once a few years ago. i <3 the railroad that he sometimes builds. plus every year he puts on a play like willy wonka and the chocolate factory or the wizard of oz. its pretty cool. vote for him! and obama! peace people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tim is amazing with kids. He is an assistant coach and I see him using his teaching experience to help other coaches better engage the players in a positive and meaningful way. We are happy he works with our son's team.
I was in Mr. Rhoades 3rd class his first year teaching at Crystal Springs, back in 1985. What a terrific teacher!

Mr. Rhoades is an amazing teacher. I should know, I had him. He was my teacher last year and I already am thanking him for preparing me for jr. high. I already feel like I'm in junior high and school started only about 4 weeks ago. He was one of the best teachers I have ever had. I probably would be confused now if I hadn't had him as a teacher. I don't know what I would do with out him. He is just amazing, especially at science. He knows how to make home made rootbeer!! He isn't only excellent, but he is intellegent, firm, kind, fun, and makes me feel like I am not ashamed to be around him. Even though to teach us a lesson he acts like a benevolent dictator. He is pretty good at that too. He also may be a husky, but he is still a great person to be around. I am glad I had him as a teacher. All i want to say is thank you for all you have done. You rock!!!!!!!
Mr. Rhoades: outgoing, friendly, open, smart, fun, creative, passionate, diverse, likeable... the list goes on.
He is tireless in his efforts to make every childs education a top priority. He goes above and beyond the call of duty by spending countless extra hours preparing his regular classroom curriculum as well as time spent outside the classroom on extra curricular activities such as cross country, a school play, family math nights, etc.
He challenges the kids in a variety of ways (learning doesn't always happen by the book in his classroom) while simultaneously makes learning fun. What kid wouldn't want to learn how to multiply fractions by tripling cookie recipes and then baking the cookies? Which also teaches the science of baking. Which also doubles as a holiday gift? Creative, very creative!
He prepares kids for life after elementary school (junior high, high school and beyond). He has countless former students visit him years after leaving his classroom (and he remembers them too!).
I am honored to know him and rave about him to all that will listen. He has given my family many positive memories of their years spent in his classroom. I can guarantee when they are older and someone asks who their favorite teacher was the answer will be "Mr. Rhoades!"
Mr.Rhoades is an incredible teacher. He gets the job done. He figures out all sorts of ways to make education fun. His involvement with the school includes heading our off cross country, Chess club, Safety patrol, and softball club activities. For his class, he directs an annual musical which is enjoyed by the entire school as well as parents. A bonus was having Jeff Reiner come to class and share his knowledge of the weather! He is always looking for ways to make learning possible as well as fun for every student in his class! I really can't sing enough praises as to how fortunate any student at Crystal Springs is to have Mr. Rhoades as their teacher.
