(avg rating of 81 recs) Write a recommendationI love driving through the city and surrounding neighborhoods because it offers a very relaxing mood and will take you back to earlier times when life was more about sharing and giving and not about noise congestion and the hustle bustle of most cities.
absolutely delightful shops the ambience is wonderful; shop owners are the most pleasant anywhere-love to stroll through there & I always take out of town visitors through.
Sumner Washington is just a great fun exciting place to be. there is always something exciting going on and very community and family oriented. I've grown up in sumner my whole life and really thats because there is no place greater!
Sumner is complete charm. A lot of my favorite shopping spots are in Sumner. It is the perfect mix of modern and vintage with a friendly homespun feel.Sumner also has some of the best restaurants around. A day spent in Sumner is a happy day for sure.
This has been my favorite town for years! The Antique shops are the absolute best part for me! The variety of shops offer something for everyone. My Most favorite shop with the absolute nicest people is Today's Country Store. My hope is to someday move to Sumner.
It has a nice relaxing small town atmosphere, you can walk downtown and go from shop to shop and there are always new little things to discover!
hometown feel...quaint shops, fun things going on every month. The old Bridge @ Christmas, Daffodile Parade,
close to home. didn't know it was a small town.
It has a small town atmosphere complete with an active downtown and engaging community.
Sumner is absolutely adorable. Main Street is covered with great mom and pop shops where you can find almost anything. Then there’s the Old Cannery Warehouse which is the BEST place to find any kind of quality furniture. Surrounding town are fields of flowers and the majestic view of Mt Rainier makes it picturesque. Mostly though I love the people. Everyone is warm, welcoming and inviting. Walking down the street or enjoying music in the park makes me feel like I’ve stepped back to a time when neighbors knew one another and kept an eye out for each other’s children. Sumner is an ideal place to spend time.
Sumner retains that small town feel that many of us grew up with.
Friendly people that always say hello!
When I'm visiting, I enjoy strolling main street and going into the unique shops. Have attended a couple of events and all the people are very friendly. I may retire there some day!
This town is AMAZING...what a great place to visit and live!
Sumner is a caring town and everyone still waves! All of the downtown business are charming and perfect for an evening stroll through the shops. It is just a great place to live and visit!
great small town w/ hometown feel, cute shops on Main Street, people there smile, waive and say hello not knowing you. Beautiful flower baskets hung spring - fall.
Sumner has that small town feeling and great place to shop and spend some time, great special events.
Its always been one of my favorites. The quaint shops, the parks, a real sense of community. When Sumner lost one of their city employees a little over a year ago, the entire town came together. There is always something to do with the many festivities during the year. Its just a neat little town.
It's a great small town atmosphere -- people are still friendly with lots of playgrounds, a cute downtown area, while still being convenient to everything. We LOVE it here!
The shopping downtown is really great. Alley On Main is my favorite store. Sumner is really great about having fun, downtown events that are organized and put together very well. There is usually at least one event every month. Events include multiple parades, a dog street fair, sidewalk sale, arts festival, wine walk, live music in the park, and a lot more (too numerous to list). Plus, there are some really great trails and a beautiful river to explore. Sumner makes a really fun day trip.
