This will be the LAST year My Precious Spicy Pickle Man will be in this contest. I had no idea that he would automatically be re-entered after last years top 5 win. I hate the name of this contest as explained below, but it is painful to continue trying to buck the system without him by my side. In his honor and memory we would like once again to have EVERYONE who hates the title “ugly dog” to vote for Spike so we can have a voice and get it changed to something fun and less mean spirited. So vote for Spike and while you’re at it vote for one of these titles or make a suggestion of your own!

If I absolutely positively abhor title of this contest, why am I allowing my precious beautiful boy to be listed under this offensive category? Never in a million years would I have ever thought I would do this, but my life was changed dramatically and irrevocably a few short weeks ago and I will never see the world the same again.

This gorgeous little hippo-esque boy is a hairless mix rescue. He is 7 years young and the life of the party. He so happy and full of joy, he touches the hearts of every person he meets and although it breaks my heart every time I hear it; he is constantly barraged with “man, you are ugly” “look, it’s one of those ugly dogs” or “that is the ugliest dog I have ever seen”. Spike just jumps and spins so happy to meet everyone unaware of the meaning of unkind words, but it wouldn’t matter even if he did. He is well aware and confident of his own beauty and simply does not care what anyone who does not love and adore him thinks. He has already won my heart and that is what matters most.

Spike has recently been diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma his life on this earth is now limited just as all the love and joy he brings to every single person who meets him. You will not meet a more beautiful loving happy-go-lucky soul as my Spicy Pickle. His inner beauty is so far beyond the capacity of his little body that it was just not possible for God stick him in a “plain brown wrapper” like a fur coat or all his teeth to hold in his tongue.

In an effort to share the most amazing dog you could ever hope to meet and immortalize my sweet beautiful boy while educating the world about the importance of inner beauty and how it is our own uniqueness that makes us great and affords us the ability to impact everyone we come into contact with Spike stands proud to represent the most egregiously titled contest ever invented.
