A boat trip from Edmonds wouldn't be complete without a visit to this great bakery. The cheese bread is my husbands favorite.
The very best baked goods in this California!! The Best cruellers, Best breads! out of this world. After shopping in Poulsobo WA while on business and surprised to find Sluy's Poulsobo bread in San Diego. It is great bread sort of like coming home after a long trip. Thank you Slu'y's Bakery
When I think of Sluy's Bakery the word that comes to mind is YUM. It's Five Star good!

I do have a prejudice, I am related to the owners. But in my defense, my Uncle, before he bought the bakery in Poulsbo was working in another small bakery in Bellingham. He brought me in and taught me the business and I have always been grateful for that. Hard work is often its own reward and my Uncle left me with a great work ethic. And as you all know, the food and baked goods from Sluys' bakery remain the best in the world (I know, I have travelled on almost every continent).
The very best baked goods in this state!! The donuts are absolutely out of this world. And the cakes are heavenly!
Sluys Bakery has wonderful customer service and their donuts and cookies are amazing! The quality of their donuts is unparralleled. They are always fresh, and there are many unique treats that come from a Norwegian influence.
Our family stops at Sluys Bakery every Sunday morning on the way to church...their Viking donuts are HUGE and their apple fritters are out of this world! My personal favorite is a cup of their steaming scandinavian coffee along with their Danish donut made of glazed, flaky, buttery layers. It just wouldn't be Sunday without a Sluys donut!
There is no other shop of its kind in the world as good as the Poulsbo Bakery. Not only has Mr. Sluys created the wonderful Poulsbo Bread that you see there or on your store shelves, but they make the huge Viking Donut that I gave them the idea for.
My Doctor Hughes of Bellingham (now age 40) was born and raised in Poulsbo, and thrived on the Poulsbo Bread and Viking Donuts. These 2 items alone are worth a trip to The Five Star Poulsbo Bakery, within shouting distance of KING Radio and TV. I. Renie Peterson @ Bellingham, WA

The cakes are superb, the cookies are fantastic, donuts are flawless, the staff is helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful!
The bakery items are truly heavenly ... and the service staff are always as friendly as can be possible, even in charming Poulsbo!

Not only does Sluys have the best selection of doughnuts and other amazing treats, Mr. and Mrs. Sluys themselves have hearts of gold. They work very hard to help students in Tanzania recieve quality education, clothes and food. They make it their personal business to help make the world a better place, and because of them it is.
