Seen her in action. She's patient and really takes the time to make both dog and human to understand each other.

If you want to have a positive relationship with your dog with an up-beat and fun training program, you must work with Shade. Her dogs (meaning not only "her" dogs, but all of her client dogs) are fun to be around because they want to work and do what what is right. So many trainers depend upon food bribes or harsh discipline which doesn't enable the dog to shine. Shade's dogs are fun loving and want to do what is right because it is fun. Shade works with people to understand the dog and how the dog communicates. This is tough; yet the results exceed traditional training methods. Thank you Shade!

Shade worked with us and our German Shephard. We liked and saw results from her knowledge of both natural dog behavior and effective reward training. She is the third trainer we've worked with and displays substantial expertise above our previous trainers.

Shade has an amazing way with both dogs and their people. She combines "positive" training with an understanding of pack mentality that gets better results than any other place we went. I would recommend her without reservation!

Shade is the most talented, cerebral dog trainer I've ever encountered, and I'm a trainer myself.

Have been working with Shade for about five years now -- with three different dogs over that period of time -- in both group and private sessions. She is knowledgeable, patient, adaptable, fun, funny -- an all around cool person and without a doubt the best training I have worked with during my 33 years of owning and training dogs.

Shade helped me with a very difficult rescue dog. After adopting this dog, I came to find out she had been tied up for her first year of life. As a result, this dog was completely unsocialized. She was paranoid and terrified of other dogs, and people. Her behavior was so out of control, no basic obedience trainers would let us join their classes. Any new situation would send her into a frenzy of terror. I felt helpless and inadequate to the task..I have had dogs all my live but had never encountered any thing like this particular one. I could not in good conscience place this dog in another home, nor could I live with putting her to sleep. After consulting with a number of trainers and my vet, we found Shade. Without Shade's insight, understanding and training techniques - for both myself and the dog - I would not have been able to keep my pup. Thanks to Shade, I now have a great companion dog who has overcome many of the challenges she came with. Shade's calm compassion and non-violent techniques are amazing. I would, and do, recommend to anyone with a dog to get some training from Shade for themselves - and their canine family members. Thanks Shade!

I have tried several dog trainers who ranged from great with dogs only but sucked with people to being questionable with dogs. Shade is great with canines and people, which makes her effective in helping both getting the best out of your relationship with your dog. She also keeps abreast of all new training techniques. She also has an accute understanding of the different personalities of dogs and people and readily adjusts her teachings based on what she observes. I give shade 10 stars!

Shade is great. She really takes the time to work with you on your dog's schedule, not pushing them beyond what they're ready for. She has a great way with dogs and my normally people fearful Terrier mix warmed up to her immediately, which says a lot.
