While we’re a notoriously scurvy bunch, we Pirates
have big hearts and simply can’t stand the thought
that there will be children that wake up Christmas
morning with nothing to open. With that in mind, in
1996, we began the Holiday Treasure Chest program.
We discovered that far too many families were going
without a Christmas because they were unable to find
assistance. The Seafair Pirates heard the need, and
met the challenge to help these deserving folks. That
is how our program was born.
Since the creation of our program, with the help of
local businesses and “Pirate Santa’s” throughout the
community, we have served thousands of
individual families; have provided countless tons of
food and goods to local service providing charities
and distributed tens of thousands of new gifts to
children throughout the Puget Sound region.
We distribute throughout the Puget Sound area. We
are constantly on the lookout for donated warehouse
space as the holidays approach. As soon as we have
established a “home base”, we begin filling it with our
collections from the community and the purchases
that we make.
REMEMBER
It only takes one person
to make a difference
But together we can
make an impact !!

I have known several members of this amazing group for a few years now. With their dedication over the years, what they have given to our community, its people, and its kids has always been exceptional.
not only do the seafair pirates give a lot to our community, they are very entertaining. you can also see the genuine love in their faces, especially when it comes to children. i highly recommend they win the "best local charity" in the great northwest.
THEY are doing Great things
They are the most generous bunch of fellows i have met in years. I live in Vancouver, BC, and because of their participation in our local parades and such, i have become friends with the scurvey lot! I believe in all the various things they do, and am glad there are still people bringing such joy and good will towards others. They are the reason i come to Seattle during the Seafair...just so i can be a part of the wonderful pirate giving experience. That way i see my newfound friends twice a year. Cheers lads!!!

The Pirates have given much back to the community in many ways (toys for kids, etc.) and are richly deserving of the BEST charity of Western Washington.
