The Sound touches each of us if you live in Western Washington
Because my dad was one of the first supporters and my son works for them!!
They are helping bring awareness to the critical health of our beautiful northwest water!
Is the anything more key to our environment than Puget Sound? People for Puget Sound works to protect and restore the health of our land and waters through education, science and restoration, and activism.
PFPS is doing very important work to keep Puget Sound the beautiful and amazing place that it is! I like that they aren't just telling people there is a problem, they are working to fix it, and there is a lot of science behind the organization as well.
PFPS is a citizen-activist organization, which protects and restores the Sound as its mission. We could lose the Sound, beyond restoration, within 10 years, if significant action isn't taken. So the work of PFPS is absolutely essential, the foundation, of the well being of all creatures in Western Washington - including humans!
I am an east coast native and see parallels between the possibilities for conservation in Puget Sound and the collapses in the our beloved Chesapeake Bay. Washington is in the unique position which we were not fifty years ago. Scientific knowledge is extensive but People for Puget Sound is working through education and policy reform to make it known and produce active conservation efforts.
Great group where action follows words, with an unfaltering commitment to a vitally important resource (Puget Sound). I feel my donations make a difference.
