Pacini Lubel Gallery

The Pacini Lubel Gallery is situated in Pioneer Square in a 3500 square foot exhibition space in the heart of Seattle's art scene. Centrally located, the gallery presents both two dimensional and three dimensional artists from the fields of ceramic, glass and paint. Participating artists have been drawn from the rich and diverse artistic community of the Northwest in addition to artists from all regions of the country. The gallery is committed and determined to present well respected, freshly innovative and daringly provocative art to the Northwest and patrons throughout the country. The art presented at the Pacini Lubel Gallery, especially the two dimensional works will have an emphasis on the figure. Paintings often reach into political, social, cultural, psychological and spiritual realms. For example, works might question interpersonal relations and societal expectations, race relations, familial dynamics, religious faith and political policy. Some artists create ambiguities leading to a dynamic interface between viewer and canvas while other artists create an undisturbed world of serenity and calm. This multitude of painterly expression has been embraced by the gallery to broadly represent the vast medium of figurative art.
Three dimensional artists (ceramists and glass artists) similarly present a broad range of expression. Some challenge the material itself by invoking new techniques and eradicating the perceived limitations of their medium. Some artists test form and scale while others might explore color, light and texture. Nature, environment, fluidity are common threads through much of the work which cogently interface with the natural wonders of the Northwest. Recognition for many of the artists has been multifaceted. Individual collectors, art consultants, museum curators have lauded praise. Institutions like Museum of Modern Art; New York, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art, Musee des Arts Decoratifs; Palaise du Louvre, Renwick Gallery; Smithsonian Institute, Victoria and Albert Museum, Mint Museum of Art, and Metropolitan Museum of Art to name a few all have works from the galleries artists. The Pacini Lubel Gallery is honored to represent and work with this enriching group of visual artists.
