It's hard to believe that Pacific Fabrics & Crafts' family of attractive stores is the eventual result of selling rags, but that is our story. In 1917 Jules Glant founded Pacific Iron & Metal as a recycling center where metal and other items were collected, cleaned, packaged and sold throughout the world for reutilization. In the early days Jules would set out daily on horse and wagon collecting old scrap metal, bottles, paper and rags, returning to the "yard" with his wagon full. Jules passed his vision and dedication along to his son, and today his grandsons keep that vision alive in operating Pacific Iron & Metal.

Fabric stores seem to be vanishing and this one has great
selections and lots of specials - fabrics galore as well as
yarns and sewing options of all kinds.
Though I often shop the Puyallup location, its always really easy to find what you are looking for with the help from the staff!
Great products and staff!!
I love this store so much. The Northgate store has everything - fashion, quilting, yarn, crafty stuff, classes, and more. It's locally owned and operated, they participate in local charities, and the staff is wonderful. It's my second home.
Great store, staff, and products!
Great selection of fabric as well as sewing and other needlecraft supplies. Lots of classes and events; creative inspiration; free demos. Friendly, helpful staff.
It is a local family owned business not a large franchise. They don’t try to carry everything in this world (cake fondant, cake tins, plastic flowers, rhinestone tiaras, party favors, candles etc etc. like Jo Annes and other stores.) I just want to buy high quality fabric and wonderful sewing notions. Pacific Fabrics provides these. Everything from Jo Anne’s, and I mean EVERYTHING, has absorbed strong toxic chemical fragrances. Everything needs to be washed repeatedly and aired outside for a very long time before the overwhelming perfume is gone. And often it never leaves. This isn't the case with Pacific Fabrics. They don’t ship and store their merchandise with items containing fragrances.
Large selection of fabric and related items along with a great staff
They have everything for a multitude of crafting types, great classes & friendly, helpful staff.
Pacific Fabrics isn't just a Fabric/Craft supply; it has a heart! The kindness and knowledge of it's employees, the many community focused projects that it supports with the aid of their loyal customers, the fun activities it provides customers that give a little zing to the psyche........that is part of what provides the dynamics of a business with HEART! Our region is blessed with having this business with us for decades, exuding a business philosophy so unique from the typical Fabric/Craft supplier. Pacific Fabrics and Crafts needs to be RECOGNIZED and its business philosophy, CELEBRATED!
Love the products and gifts they carry, the way the store is laid out, the classes and programs offered. The fabrics are high quality and there is more variety.
They have an outstanding selection of fabrics. They also offer many classes in a variety of areas.
High quality fabric and great customer service. I shop at the Bellevue Store
