Northwest Trek Wildlife Park is a treasure for wildlife enthusiasts. The signature tram tour through the 435-acre free-roaming area offers the opportunity to spot different species of animals as they wander through forests, wetlands and meadows. In the core walking-tour area, visitors can get a peek at native wild canines and cats as well as forest and wetland critters. The 723-acre park has a little bit of everything: lakes, trails, meadows and plenty of animals. Located near Mount Rainier in Washington state just south of Seattle and Tacoma, Northwest Trek is home to more than 200 North American animals representing more than 30 species. Check for seasonal hours.

Great place for a family day trip. You get to see many native animals of Western Washington while riding on an open tram on a small paved road through open meadows, spots of trees, and around a lake. I am luck to live on miles from NTWP and have gone many times since I was a child. One piece of advice -- if you want to see lots of animals, don't go on a hot sunny day. Spring and early summer is fun because the new babies are out too.

It gets you away from the cities to real relaxation. It is so great to be the caged viewers with the animals watching us. It is so true to the Northwest with animals and plants that are native to our area. The staff are well trained, know their infromation well and are a lot of fun. It is also one of the few places you can bring your own picnic and eat on their beautiful grounds without costing a fortune.

Highest and best use of the land as donated by the Hellyers'. Magical place where nature is showcased at it's very best while still allowing education of wildlife to occur transparently. Perfect!

This attraction has it all. Tram rides entertain young and old even during wet weather. You can get up and personal with all kinds of native animals from the Pacific Northwest. Some of them I have never seen in the wild. Kids love the tram ride and the static displays are great too.

This is a place that you can go to and each time is a different experience. The animals are not the typical which you would see in a zoo and that's what makes this a great place to go. The tram ride through the park is unique and allows visitors to get up close and personal with the animals in an environment that is comfortable for both visitors and the animals.

Great fun for everyone. The special tours (like the feeding tour) are fantastic for up close and personal view of the animals.
