I want to provide everyone with a place that they can feel comfortable and inspired. Muse baristas have over 25 years of combined experience in pulling espresso and we take our coffee serious, but we never take our selves too serious. My talented and skilled baristas will never be arrogant or serve your favorite drink with a side order of apathy or attitude like you sometimes find other places.

At Muse Coffee our purpose is to create a coffee experience of the highest possible quality.

Our roaster begins by purchasing premium green coffee from farms that practice traditional old world cultivation methods - growing coffee in naturally shaded areas where no pesticides and fertilizers are used. We have found that the best and most complex coffees, the ones we most enjoy and use in our blends, come from small farms that grow coffee in this manner.

Coffees from these growers command a premium price in the market place - a price Herkimer Coffee pays - and that in turn ensures good wages, good workers, and good working conditions at the farms.

Because coffee crops vary from season to season, our cupping process is invaluable. We encourage our customers to join in these cuppings so they can experience the subtleties of different varietals, learn about their origins, and understand the uniqueness of the harvest and processing methods.

But quality isn't solely attributed to the coffees we buy. Quality also comes from attention to detail. Our staff receives meticulous training on an ongoing basis, and our coffee is monitored daily to ensure freshness.
