Voting Home / Luisa's Mexican Grill
Nominated for: BEST Mexican
Originally named El Toreador, this restaurant was first opened in San Francisco in the 1970's. Upon hearing about a need for good Mexican restaurants in the Seattle area; the Garcia family decided to move the El Toreador Restaurant to Seattle, WA in early 1979. El Toreador quickly became one of Seattle's Favorite Mexican Restaurants.
From the "Tortilla Casita" each and every evening fresh hot off the grill, Handmade Corn Tortilla's filled with butter and a delicious homemade salsa is served complimentary to hungry dinners. These tortillas quickly became El Toreador's claim to fame. It's been said, over the years, "Happiness is a Warm Tortilla".

Luisa's Mexican Grill on Holman Road in North Seattle. Excellent! They've kept the menu from the past Rositas Restaurant and its very very good!
