Born in the northern China port city of Tsing Tao (home of the Chinese beer) and raised in Taiwan, Judy Fu came to the United States in 1972. She has worked in the restaurant business since, first on the East Coast, then for a number of restaurants in the Seattle area, establishing her reputation as one of Seattle's top Chinese chefs. In 1993, she opened Judy Fu's Snappy Dragon and it quickly became a popular destination for devotees of her Mandarin/ Szechuan style cooking. Food critics and fans alike appreciate Judy, respectfully (and affectionately) known as 'Fu-Ma,' for her graciousness, elegance and culinary skill.

Fantastic food, great quality, amazing service. Overall it's a fabulous restaurant.
Their homemade stir-fried noodles are the best! Their green onion pancakes are a hit with the kids. You can see Judy Fu there which makes it more personable. It was where my husband and I had our first unofficial date 13 years ago.

The food is the best Chinese anywhere in the US and the people there are great.
Best Chinese food I've ever had, absolutely anywhere. The Jiao Zi (heavenly bioled pork dumplings) are otherworldly. Everything on the menu is a revelation in taste. The service is attentive and friendly and Judy and family cook for you.
This was the first place that I tried Chinese food, and nothing has EVER come close. Mongolian Beef- 'nuff said
