Voting Home / Jen Seaman
Nominated for: BEST Local Comedian
Originally from a small military island town in the Northwest, Seaman brings to the stage imaginative and relatable coming-of-age jokes about her naïve upbringing and strong desire to stay a kid at all costs, mixed in with a lineup of past loves which sound more like a roster for the Special Olympics than a trail of broken hearts.
Seaman has performed all around the west coast in front of diverse audiences from rock to gay clubs creating an interesting fan base of loveable misfits. She’s been a regular at many local comedy clubs such as Laugh’s, The Parlor Live and the Comedy Underground. This summer she was seen on Season 6 of America’s Got Talent as a judge’s favorite in Las Vegas.
Seaman recently made her television debut on Comedy Central’s sketch show Atom TV alongside Kyle Cease in their viral hit video, “BP Apology: Outtakes.”
You can read about her time spent on the road in her column entitled, “Belly Laugh,” on Village Voice’s Seattle Weekly’s web site.
