I have adopted several wonderful cats from Homeward Pet and found the staff to be exceptional. The cats have a wonderful facility with attentive, caring volunteers.
Yes, it a great place for cats & dogs to be adopted. It's also a great place to volunteer. We are treated with respect and caring, too.
This shelter is absolutely a gift from on high. The staff cares deeply for their volunteers and for the animals. The shelter is clean and the animals get tons of exercise, affection, and training. Read the blog about all the successful adoptions and you'll see why I LOVE this place!
Dedicated, committed staff; great care given to animals; great educators for animal care/rights, self-less people who never give up on finding a home for every animal.
The facility is setup nicely, and the staff and volunteers are very welcoming.
Homeward Pet is THE BEST! They helped me adopt just the right dog for me, Luna the Wonder Dog.
I got my Dog here and she is the BEST!
They are so helpful and they are amazing with the animls they care for.
Because they care
kind staff who really care!
We adopted two beautiful cats, Ivan and Hannah, in 2006.
Hannah had some major medical problems and wouldn't
be part of our family today without the TLC of Homeward
Pets. They repaired and repaired until she was ready to
join her brother as a part of our family. Dr Jones, committed
her own time to a surgeon to insure that Hannah's needs
were met. We're so grateful and since have added two more
cats, Sammi and Chai. Thank you Homeward Pets for your
sacrifices to care for and place pets in loving homes.
Gordy and Bev
I have fostered cats/kittens there for over 5 years and have been a volunteer for over 2 years. The animals are well cared for and get a lot of attention which makes them great pets.
The dogs & cats who come to Homeward are treated with lots of loving care and get individual attention. Homeward tries very hard to match the pets and their new families and spend time training dogs while they're waiting for their forever homes. Since it is a no-kill shelter, the animals can stay there (or in wonderful foster homes) until the right adopter comes along. Whenever Homeward has space, other shelters are routinely contacted, so Homeward can help with their animals. Homeward now saves over one thousand lives a year, and each year it is growing, without skimping on the care the pets receive while in the shelter. If only there weren't so many homeless pets who needed help from Homeward and other shelters across the country!
Homeward pet saves animals from all over Washington state. They help turn abandoned animals into amazing pets, giving an animal a 2nd chance and a family a new best friend.
A no-kill shelter that has been working hard for pets since it's inception.
Homeward Pet is a no-kill shelter where other statewide shelters send their unwanted animals. I volunteered there last year and, in the process, first fostered and finally adopted Tigger. This little guy had been at the shelter for 9 months and at the Yakima shelter prior to that. Without Homeward Pets, Tigger and would never have met!
clean and caring
I have adopted 2 dogs and 2 cats from Homeward and have been volunteering there for almost 2 years. The people at Homeward work really hard to make the animals stay as comfortable as possible, by giving them health care, loving attention, and training. It is the BEST place to find the animal you have been looking for.
Has nice facilities and they really care about the animals.
All the dogs and cats that come to the shelter are treated with great love.
