It's a great space, very crisp and inviting. It features local artists from a wide variety of perspectives and using many different mediums. It contributes to the vital and growing arts scene in Tacoma.

Fulcrum is the best art gallery in Tacoma and South Puget Sound. It challenges the status quo, while participating in citywide art "events." The exhibits run the gamut from personal and intimate single artist installations to collective and themed presentations of various artists. Glass, painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media are all represented and supported by opening night celebrations and artist talks. This gallery is a "must visit" for any lover of the arts.

Fulcrum is the only gallery in Tacoma that shows such a broad range of highly skilled, provocative, modern artists. It also brings gallery access to a neighborhood where many have not experienced fine art before. Fulcrum sets the bar of quality and diversity high- it definitely gives Seattle galleries a serious run for their money!
I always find the artist's talks to be intimate and engaging. The art openings create a lively, quality forum for community and friends to talk about the featured artist's work. Fulcrum has a deep commitment to supporting skilled new artists articulate and share their visions fully and without censorship.

Fulcrum is the most contemporary gallery in Tacoma, showing high quality work in a variety that fits its personality. Added to visual art is sometimes art happenings or music events which are very well attended.

the gallery always has an erray of different artists presented in a very professional and iconic display. The gallery owner Oliver Doriss adds a wonderfully modern yet relaxing atmosphere to this small space giving us a hint into the beautiful world of creativity.

I've seen several openings at Fulcrum, and while its a relatively small space, they utilize it to its full potential. Owner Oliver Doriss (an artist himself) seems to like and support artists who stand out (or up for something), or those whose work provoke meaningful thought interaction with the art. A recent showing of glass artist Bryan Rubino's Odyseuss's Garden was a favorite of mine...just brilliant!

Full of local Tacoma flavor (yes, there is lots of it,) Fulcrum pulls from multiple mediums encompassing an eclectic array of art and artists, embracing all aspects of expression... And, owner/artist Oliver Doriss is just about as cool, and kind, as they come...
