Infinite knowledge of the Owner
This place is dangerous, especially when you work five minutes down the road. Everything under $25 and Michael (the owner) is always happy to help you find the perfect bottle.

EVERYTHING under $25!!! And Michael just pours great wine. Tastings almost every weekend, and fun browsing too. Don't leave this place out of your trip to Fremont.
Michael and his staff share the philosophy that wine can be an integral component to an enjoyable life. What really sets them apart is their enthusiasm in sharing knowledge and experience to enhance the customer's enjoyment and appreciation. One never gets the impression that their recommendations are driven by bottom-line considerations. They know that a satisfied customer will return. Visiting FWW is like dropping by the home of a good friend who is also an expert in wines.
Michael is a wonderfully welcoming person, and knows a lot about his wines as well as about wine in general. I enjoyed myself greatly when I went tasting there. He had some wonderful wines. It is a place that is really interested in helping people find the best wine for their situation and for a reasonable cost.

Michael is so knowledgable and happy to help you find whatever fits your price range. He took an "expensive" bottle out of my hands and replaced it with something with a lower price because he like the cheaper one better and thought I would too. He's honest and friendly and always happy to see you!
Michael Cawdry is exceedingly knowledgeable. His shop offers a selection of affordable wines and the opportunity for patrons to develop an appreciation for wine without pretense or breaking a budget.

Most of their wines are delicious and as a bonus are $20 or less, with a good variety of French, Spanish, Washington and California wines (actually, wines from all over, but these are my favorites). Michael has fabulous taste in wine and most people might remember him from the Fremont Apple Market wine area (which is now The Asteroid Cafe). I'm glad he is back in the neighborhood and better than ever!
