Ft. Steilacoom Park is a wonderful regional facility for not only the City of Lakewood, but for all who come from throughout the Puget Sound area to experience all that the park has to offer. The history of the park ranges from a military base to a self sustaining farm for Western State Hospital, to its current use as a park that boasts opportunities for passive as well as active recreation. At 340 acres it has a lake, prairie lands, historical barns, trails, sports fields, a playground, and an off leash dog park. You are sure to find a variety of activities for your enjoyment.

Great sports fields, nice dog park, fabulous playground and tons of fantastic hiking trails. Truly, the gem of Pierce County!

We really like this Park how it is seperate for tot lot and older kids and beautiful view
