The Floating Leaves Teahouse is Seattle's first authentic Chinese teahouse. Modeled after the teahouses of Shiuwen Tai's native Taiwan, our teahouse is an oasis of tranquility and good humor.
Inside you will find a warm interior furnished with Chinese antiques, welcoming hosts, and a soundtrack ranging from classical and contemporary Chinese music to local music made by Asian influenced musicians. Come spend time with friends, read a good book, or sit down with us and learn as much about tea as you like.
Shiuwen's high mountain oolong is only rivaled by her presence. I can spend hours in her shop talking with her and sipping Taiwanese tea.

Best baozhong oolong in the country, friendly and intimate. This is a destination spot for tea geeks -- go say hi to Shiuwen and taste through some of best you've ever had!

Great selection of very high-quality Taiwanese teas. The owner has excellent knowledge and great service. The Chinese tea tradition is far more appealing to me than the English, which is not about the actual tea at all.
