It's close to home, they have good food (the best mac n cheese!!) good beer and they always play Sounders FC games, unlike other bars and pubs that completely ignore the fact that soccer is the greatest sport.
I love Doyle's for the great atmosphere, the friendly service, and for the food far above the average "bar menu".
Cuz I love it.
All I can say is this: The first day I walked in the door, it was like finding my home away from home. Doyles is a place where you go to cry or laugh, commiserate or celebrate; to hide or be seen. Just be who you are and you will always be welcomed. Though I cannot express it as eloquently as I would like, Doyles has become my home, and for everything it is and everything it stands for, I thank the owners, employees, and patrons for keeping it real.

any soccer match anytime, all the good newspapers available to read, guinness poured properly, wednesdays trivia, daily food specials, friendly staff, involved in the community, live music, unique promotions. good morals, good hygiene, brave in the face of danger.
Russ is an old-style pub owner, talking with his customers and making them feel at home at Doyle's. The building is a wonderful old brick building, the setting small and intimate, the food very good and very Irish--and we were just in Ireland, so we know of what we speak!

One of the best Irish Pubs in the states. Great atmosphere, staff, and full of vibrant life, young and old. Great place to eat and/or have a beer or drink with friends and co-workers. Russ, the owner, gives back to Tacoma unlike so many - support a great man and a great place!
Doyle's has great atmosphere and warmth. It's friendly owner, Russ Heaton, is a true community leader. Many community organizations meet there to plan with Irish brews and great tasty food.

Love Doyles! Best Spinach salad in town! I use them to cater lunches for my Day Spa guests.
The place is awesome! Great management, great community involvement and we are always welcomed with a smile when we walk in the door. Soccer and baseball is always playing on the big screen and people are usually packed shoulder to shoulder and having a good time.
The staff is very friendly and they are good about remembering you. I love that they open early for televised soccer games and stay open late for a nice chill place to hang out for late nights.
Best staff of any pub. The best Guinness pour ANYWHERE.

DOYLES! Is like the Disneyland of Irish Pubs. Doyles has opens their arms to Tacoma, gathers us all up and gives us a great big bear hug.
Great beer and great food. A fun place to hang out and have a pint and listen to some good music.
