Nominated for: BEST Barbecue
Established in 2004 this October marks our 5 year anniversary.Located one block East of Broadway and one block South of Pacific Avenue in Downtown Everett, right across from Everett Station. The Cafe is walking distance from the Everett Events Center. The building is charming; built by Great Northern Railroad right around 1900. The Depot was operated for many years by the Milwaukee Railroad until they closed in the 70's. The building has maintained most of it's original glass windows and architecture. Decorated in a very simple decor of antiques and train memorabilia. This rustic American Cafe, founded in 2004, has seating for up to 50 guests. With ample parking and easy access, The Depot has become a favorite destination for afficianados of BBQ and many other non- smoked favorites. The menu offers something for everyone. We sell today what we make today. The concept is "fresh, fresh, fresh". Come in a try our from scratch, award winning BBQ and fresh menu items . Owner "Uncle Gilbert" Ruiz still currently competes and cooks in competition BBQ, his team Smokin'Red Wolf has won dozens of awards cooking the highest level of BBQ.
Many have said the Depot Cafe and Smokehouse showcases the best burger in the State of Washington. Come in and check out the stellar cellar and great beer selection. Depot Cafe and Smokehouse is a hidden jewel in downtown Everett. Pitmaster Gil will cook in any BBQ challenge anytime.

The very best and do try the deserts. Cornbread and potato salad to live for. I happen to adore the smoked chicken.

Amazing BBQ, Good quality stuff, I Couldn't recommend it more highly. I would give it 2 thumbs up but it takes both hands to eat the Pulled, Not shredded Pork Sandwich :)Great Corn Bread and Bean soup too. Perfect for those long PNW rainy nights.
