Our pizza making skills were learned from Ramon P. Moretti, a master pizza maker, originally from Philadelphia. In the 1970s, Ray came to Bellingham to start an authentic East Coast Pizzeria in the Pacific Northwest. Ray said a good pizza should represent the flag of Italy: red for the tomato sauce, white for the mozzarella and green for the spices. According to Ray, pizzas were called "pies" and slices were called "cuts". And Ray never allowed pineapple on pizza!
