Voting Home / Central Cinema
Nominated for: BEST Indie Theater
"Worth the trip over the hill"
Seattle's only pizza & beer movie theater is located in the Central District neighborhood at 21st & Union. A real "Mom & Pop" neighborhood movie joint where we can enjoy good food to eat, a cold beer and fun movies. A place close to home with Themed Series, Feature movies in the evenings, and Independent Specialties. See your favorite movies how they were meant to be seen, on a big screen, with big sound, in a room full of people.
Perennial favorite. Yes, there are fancier cinemas. Yes, there are (a few...) cheaper cinemas. But where else can you watch Buckaroo Bonzai for $6 (or Plan 9 from Outer Space, or Shaun of the Dead, or Serenity), with your kids, while being served food everyone can enjoy, with alcohol for the adults? In a quiet, mostly drunk-free neighborhood? Nice.

Cartoon happy hour, Thursdays at 5pm. It's free! I was astounded when I found out.

So much fun to be had here! Sing-a-longs, quote-a-longs and just general shenanigans. Along with tasty food and beverages. The prices can't be beat.

I fainted once in the foyer and they were really nice to me.
