I've been to Louisiania many times and this place reminds me
of the eating experience down there.
I have lived in the South for 55 years and ate my first BBQ sandwich at 4 years old. I have eaten a ton of great and not so great BBQ and have been a judge at BBQ contests. In Texas, we have world-class BBQ and fried catfish. Casper's competes with the best of any I have tasted anywhere. His folks treat customers like family, and I would recommend any and all of Casper's menu items for anyone looking for the best in taste and value.
Alll items on the menu are perfect and consistent. The owners are friendly and make you feel like family. The BBQ ribs and fried catfish are the best; I am an experienced BBQ contest judge.
As a Carolina boy I've been many BBQ joints in the area trying to find a respectable pork BBQ sandwich to tame my cravings. While Casper's isn't Lexington or Eastern style 'cue (nor does it claim to be), it's every bit as good as anywhere you'll find in the South. The pork is perfectly tender and has a great smokey flavor (I was tasting hickory) and the sauce has a nice thick tangy flavor (I'm not a sweet sauce fan). There is no such thing as bad BBQ, some just happen to be better than others (like Whiskey, Pizza, and...you know) and Casper's IS better than the others.
I work at the latte stand in the same parking lot!! Eat there all the time :)

This is authentic Southern cooking, great selection, meal sizes and friendly service. Ribs are incredible!
Casper's is authentic. And if you don't like barbecue, try the catfish and hush puppies. This is what the South really tastes like.
Casper's is the best BBQ in Seattle by far. Everything from the sweet tea to the bannana pudding is wonderful. The fried shrimp and fried bannana peppers are my favorites. The staff is always warm and welcoming. It was my fathers birthday and they surprised him with his favorite bannana pudding.
They have great tasting Bar B que! I love their BBQ brisket sandwich and Bubba's banana pudding.
