Because no one should have to face breast cancer alone...

We focus on early detection outreach & education, self-advocacy, and survivorship support at every stage from diagnosis onward. We are based in Tacoma and supply Patient Support Kits filled with South Sound resource information to 57 breast surgeons' offices in South King, Pierce, Thurston, Mason, Jefferson and Kitsap counties.

We offer free exercise & relaxation classes, facilitate support groups, healthy cosmetics & skin care workshop for women undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment, a lending library, and a resource room filled with free wigs, scarves, hats, night caps, post-mastectomy camisoles, bras, prostheses, and Knitted Knockers for clients, regardless of their ability to pay.

We are a shoulder, an ear, a heart, and a hug and work to connect women with the resources they are looking for - be it a resource they know by name or one they never even knew to ask for. We anticipate needs based on our extensive experience with breast cancer clients who teach us each and every day.

The Breast Cancer Resource Center, in Tacoma, Washington, exists to support women facing breast cancer... Because no one should have to face breast cancer alone. Through community outreach and education on breast health and early detection, we help young women get the imaging they need. Through surgeons' offices we offer timely and local resource information to newly diagnosed women. In house, we offer classes, workshops, support groups, a library, wigs and head coverings, bras and prostheses, and so much more...all free of charge. I can not express my thanks to all the support and caring I received from the Breast Cancer Resource Center when I so much need of someone who understood what I was going thru. The Breast Cancer Resource Center is the best of the best and got me thru a very difficult time in my life and I am still here to share my experience that I received from the them. Again, they are the best of the best.
