Which local businesses stand out as Western Washington's Best? It's an age-old question which rears its head every time you debate where to grab lunch with co-workers or meet friends for happy hour. We pored over thousands of nominations to come up with the 2012 Evening Magazine's Best of Western Washington.
Over the next few weeks, you'll have a chance to fill out your own ballot of your favorite local haunts; everything from BEST Breakfast to BEST Yoga Studio.
Last year, Western Washington voters cast more than 600,000 votes and crowned 209 winners. But this year you can do better. You can vote in 215 categories. Here are some of the most popular categories from last year:
