In one corner rests Cafe Juanita. Since 2000, this Kirkland restaurant has been churning out top notch North Italian fare. Chef Holly Smith and her team mix up the menu often, but some favorites include the seared foie gras appetizer and the saddle of lamb. The award-winning wine menu boasts an extensive selection of hand-picked wines native to the the Pacific Northwest. Voter Lissa G. sums up the experience nicely: "Cafe Juanita offers a divine dining experience paired with top service and an award-winning wine list. They deserve every accolade they receive."
In the other corner is one of Seattle's premier steakhouses: El Gaucho. Menus feature fresh seafood, dry-aged steaks and an extensive wine list. As part of the effort to provide a nostalgic dining experience, many dishes at El Gaucho are prepared table-side including the popular bananas foster and cherry jubilee desserts. Voter Dana V. sums up the El Gaucho experience: "The BEST steak in town! The Baseball Roquefort Sirloin is by far an experience to cherish! From coat check to cocktails to banana's foster, an evening to remember and enjoy--often."
