We're down to the Final Four. Round 2 of the Best of Western Washington Restaurant Bracket Challenge came to a close last night with some surprises and tight finishes. Left standing are: Matt's in the Market, Crush, El Gaucho and Wild Ginger.
Matt's in the Market struck the biggest blow in Round 2 upsetting Round 1 top vote-getter Canlis Restaurant. The matchup ended with the two competitors separated by only 6 votes. When we say every vote counts, we mean it! Matt's will meet Crush in the Semi-Final fresh off a relatively comfortable win over Lark.
In the other Semi-Final matchup, El Gaucho will face off against Wild Ginger. The popular steakhouse, fended off a late rally from Kirkland's Cafe Juanita while Wild Ginger managed to hold on to their small edge over the popular Queen Anne eatery How to Cook a Wolf.
And so it comes down to this: will we see Matt's in the Market continue to bulldoze the competition or will Chef Jason Wilson and team crush (sorry, we couldn't resist) their opponent? Can Wild Ginger continue the pace or will El Gaucho's steaks and famous table-side desserts emerge victorious?
You decide who will meet in the final. You have until Wednesday, July 25th at midnight to cast your votes! You can vote EVERY DAY, so vote early and vote often!
