Ballard is one of those neighborhoods that everyone loves to visit. Whether you are taking a leisurely stroll down Ballard Ave, passing through Market Street or in the neighborhood for the Sunday Farmers Market, Ballard is always a lively place to be. Between the unique galleries, funky boutiques, great nightlife and amazing restaurants, it's no surprise that Ballard businesses are faring extremely well through Week 2 of Evening Magazine's Best of Western Washington.

And Ballard restaurants are faring particularly well. We're still in the early stages of voting, but we are ever curious, so took a cursory glance at which restaurants in Ballard were doing the most to represent their neighborhood. Keep in mind it's still early and there are still 4 weeks to vote, but here are the 10 most popular Ballard restaurants in the mind of Best of Western Washington voters so far:

  1. Portage Bay Cafe
  2. Ray's Boathouse
  3. Paseo
  4. La Carta de Oaxaca
  5. Matador
  6. La Isla
  7. The Walrus & the Carpenter
  8. Dante's Inferno Dogs
  9. Anita's Crepes
  10. Mr. Gyros

We'll feature more neighborhood favorites in the coming weeks. In the meantime, keep those votes coming in!
