Welcome to the Bikram Yoga Center of Tacoma. The classes are open to all levels, ages, and health conditions. Created by Bikram Choudhury, this series of 26 hatha yoga poses and breathing exercises is designed to work the entire body in 90 minutes. It is an exhilarating workout done in a heated room to help the muscles stretch safely and detoxify the body through sweating. Regular yoga practice stimulates and balances the endocrine, nervous, immune, and cardiovascular systems. It alleviates pain and symptoms of chronic illness. It increases strength, stamina and flexibility. It calms and unclutters the mind so one can begin to realize the deeper knowledge and potential within oneself.
