Beyond the Bridge Cafe

Beyond the Bridge Café (B.B.C.) is an independent coffee house located in Sumner Wa. B.B.C. derived its name as an expression of duality. It is a name that calls people to venture past the barrier of daily task lists, and discover a medium of community that will foster creativity and relationships. It is also a name that conveniently references our location in proximity to a great Sumner landmark, the Golden Bridge.

B.B.C. is built upon love and community. Our energy is wholly dedicated to engaging people from all walks of life. Our purpose and our intent are to develop a cohesive system of mutual support. When individuals are encouraged in their singular strengths, an impenetrable collective of positive movement is fortified. As a community, we can choose to embrace and embody the type of loving disposition that draws relationships closer and pushes every member to their greatest potential. Our goal is to start a movement that shifts the focus from singular gain to communal benefit. In the tradition of a true coffee house, we foster the spectrum of human experience. Through art, music, conversations, meetings, political discussions, readings, writings, and encouragement, a greater good can be achieved. Building up in all aspects of life takes strength and resolve. At B.B.C. building up is a natural progression fueled by the same support that we seek to expand.

B.B.C. maintains the highest standards achievable in every aspect of the coffee experience as well. We do not accept the
mediocrity of high volume espresso and slipshod barista work that has taken the place of a craft needing a lifetime to master. Every drink is created to be a connection to art.

Our attention to beauty in life manifests through our relationships, our coffee, and the blossoming individuals that all contribute to the place, the idea, and the movement, that is collectively Beyond the Bridge Café.
