Westport Winery

“It will be historic.”
The Roberts’ family created the first winery and vineyard in Grays Harbor on the urging of WSU agricultural extension agent, Don Tapio. “You should plant a vineyard and open a winery here. It will be historic.”

Wesport Winery is owned by Blain and Kim Roberts. Their son Dana is their winemaker and their daughter, Carrie, is their tasting room manager.

Land and Sea
It is traditional to think of grapes and wine in terms of terroir (the place). This place is all about fine wine set against a backdrop of good food, a great community, wonderful activities, and extraordinary scenery. Along with their agri-business experience, everyone in the Roberts’ family has a passion for the sea.

Commitment to Quality and Community
At Westport Winery, wine quality is attained through thoughtful creativity and adventuresome science. Their passion is this community, they express that passion by creating great wine, a fun experience, and fond memories. A portion of the proceeds from each bottle benefits local charities.

Winery
To best link the farm culture to beach culture Westport Winery built its own 40-foot lighthouse. To highlight the amazing artistic talents in the community the family commissions local artists to create sculptures commemorating their wines in their gardens. The gardens also feature a putting green, croquet, and pétanque. Inside the lighthouse guests enjoy a quiet sitting room with games. Surf movies and popcorn are always on in the Gathering Room.

Vineyards By-the-Sea
Westport Winery and Vineyards By-the-Sea is a Salmon Safe certified farm featuring 2400 vines including Madeleine Angevine, Muscat of Norway, Siegerrebe, and Pinot Noir.
