They have so much to offer!!! Their volunteer program is well run, educational and amazing! Their auction/dinner is fun and enchanting and you feel welcome whenever you go there. It truly meets all senses!!!!
Besides beautful gardens and landscapes, it is always updating for the future. Events like Garden d' Lights, classes for people, etc also makes the Gardens multi-purpose and educational.
It's a serene, beautiful place, that changes daily thanks to dedicated volunteer gardeners. And--it's close. No long drive to get there!
It is simply fantastic.
The Bellevue Botanical Garden is a variety of gardens set in a park that acclimates to each season giving the public an array of beauty. In the winter, the Garden D'Lights are a spectacular sight, In the fall, the dahlia and rose garden are gorgeous. In the spring, the prennial garden is adorned with some of Northwest specialties such as tree peonies, and Crocosmia, Walking in the BBG during the spring is such a delight because the overwhelming fragrance of the daphne and other favorites are so wonderful on a sunny day. The BBG center offers many types of activities for the community. So this is a park for all seasons and for everyone!
I find the garden to be a very peaceful and relaxing place. My stress just seems to melt away when I visit.
It's beautiful!
Great place to take your family
This is a park that is quite a drive away from where we live, but we love it! So worth the trip! It's pretty and great on a sunny or overcast day! It's easy to take strollers through as well which is important.
It is thrilling to have this expanse of man improved beauty as well as acres of forest so our children and our visitors can learn of the diversity and soul soothing experience available in the heart of the City.
This young (16 years) garden surpasses many that have been developed for many years longer. There are flowers in bloom every day of the year. There are many places to sit and meditate the beauty of nature. The yearly Garden d'Lights in December brings light and fun at this darkest time of the year. It is a place to learn and to admire.
The City of Bellevue is growing rapidly so is the downtown forest of highrises. In the SE corner lie the beautiful botanical gardens where visitors may walk, stroll, jog, play, photgraph, paint, contemplate, sit, smell, listen in this daily changing habitat.
The colours and textures respond to the seasons. We are so fortunate to have this
place where we can enjoy and learn together.
A fanatastic and quiet location minutes from downtown Bellevue, with formal gardens, trails, and many places to just sit and be. This City park is maintained in cooperation with a number of local horticultural groups which contribute their particular genius and passion to the gardens. And the Garden d'Lights in the winter is unparalleled. The garden logged over 20,000 volunteer hours last year.
Great garden layouts, interesting plants, wonderful events during the year.
Jewel in the Crown of the Bellevue Parks. A place of beauty and serenity among the hustle and bustle of a growing city-a special place to retreat.
Our kids spent their youth playing all around that area - before it became a botanical garden, when it was owned by an elderly couple who had raised their kids there. A lot of us neighbors made sure that the park happened. The variety of plant material is wonderful and each Holiday season they put on the most amazing light display!! A diamond in Bellevue.
