Bedlam Coffee is my all time favorite place to hang out for some great coffee, delicious pastry and a wonderful, friendly atmosphere.
Today's economy, I look for the best coffee and dessert I can find for my money. Happily I have found both at Bedlam Coffee in Seattle's Bell Town. (I love the name and the bright red storefront!) Their coffee is delicious and unlike anyone elses I have had in a long time rich, smooth and not bitter. There are crazy and unusual decorations that are interesting to look at. The furniture is mismatched and recycled, but very comfortable. Coming here is like coming home to your own living room. There is a cozy corner to play board games and twitter with your friends. The walls are adorned with pieces from local artists and are for sale.
Bedlam has treats on the menu like Hummingbird Cake, Yellow Leaf Cupcakes, Lemon Pecan Pie, Mighty-O Donuts and other delectable items. They don't just serve coffee, they have vintage sodas and incredible teas - things you won't find other places. In addition to the sweets, they have toast. OK, this is not ordinary toast, but thick toast worthy of your attention, especially the cinnamon swirl, and they have lots of topping choices even chocolate sprinkles.
Bedlam is open late! Not many places you can get a good cup of coffee, or dessert at 2 AM even in Seattle.
If you want good atmosphere, a good time and a rich tasting cup of coffee, go to Bedlam near 2nd and Bell.
The coffee here is amazing . . . and its source a well-guarded secret. Rumor has it its from a small, independent roaster in Montana. But wherever it comes from, it is a soft, velvety, low-acid coffee, roasted and brewed to perfection. Pair it with a hunk of the Chocolate Monster Cake, or the Pineapple Upside Down Cake, or any of Bedlam's delish homemade desserts, and you're in heaven. Bliss.
te guys there are great and know what they are doing.
fantastic neighbourhood coffee, unbeatable service, coffee actually tastes great, like it should!
The place to go in Belltown!
The atmosphere is outstanding and unique - the desserts are divine, and you cant beat that wonderful coffee any where else in Seattle!
Great atmosphere, great coffee and great service!!!
Bedlam is more than just coffee; the coffee is great, I drink It every day and never get tired of it, but there are also great desserts, pastries and a nice selection of teas and vintage sodas. It is a funky fun space where everyone feels welcomed.
Friendly service, great coffee, delicious toast and extended hours!
The coffee is great but it is also more than just a coffee house. It's like being in someone's living room. It is a place to have your first date or surf the Internet while enjoying a fantastic piece of cake or pie. It is like what coffee houses used to be like before all the attitude and latte art choked the life out of coffee.
Well, I'd recommend Bedlam because I own it, me and two of my best friends. We put together a coffee house we'd all like to call home. We focus on many things, our coffee is fantastic, we have great teas too, fresh baked goods from local bakeries like, Boulangerie Nantaise, Yellow Leaf Cupcakes, Mighty-O Donuts, and Madison Park Bakery. Our ingredients are the best available, Guittard Chocolates, Monin Syrups, and Milk from Sunshine Dairy. We Brew our Chai in house from the marvelous "Mansala" blend from Travelers on Capitol Hill. In the evenings we become a dessert place, fresh locally made cakes, pies, and bar desserts, with vintage sodas and more.
everything a great coffeehouse ought to be and more.
This is one of my favorite places to go, not just for drinks or pastries (although that's a good reason too) but because of the guys that run it, the funky decor and ambience, and the way it has rapidly become an important part of the neighborhood. Bedlam is like our community center or living room and it makes the neighborhood safer, better, friendlier and cooler.
Awesome space, great coffee and toast, and totally customer service orientated. They care about the people who walk through their doors!
Awesome space, amazing coffee, friendly owners, comfortable neighborhood spot.
