I run the shop singlehandedly and I try very hard to keep constant and regular hours. Sometimes I close early for appointments or to pick up furniture - CALL if you are planning to visit late in the day. Every once in a while I open an hour late (usually a Thursday or Friday) so if you are driving any distance, it's best to call and check that all is normal and that I will be open regular hours. My goal at Bad Girls Antiques is to make shopping for antiques and collectibles fun & affordable....no attitude, just a little sass! I have been in business at this address for 25 years........yeah, I can't believe it either! I strive for honesty and fairness, both when I buy and when I sell. I also love the whole "green" idea -- I've been recycling and keeping things out of landfills way before it was the cool thing to do! The way I see it (and have found my customers feel strongly feel this way too) is that if a piece of furniture, for example, has provided good service to you for years but you no longer need it, you want to send it on to someone else who can continue to use it, and not just dump it. I know it sounds a leetle beet corny (especially coming from a confirmed cynic) but it's true! It's essential for me to keep a constant flow of new (old) inventory going in and out of the shop. It's not a museum and it's not "my collection" - I'm here to sell this stuff!! This translates to keeping my prices as low as possible = if I get a good deal, I pass that on to YOU. In general, I would say that most of my prices will be at least 20% less than most malls or Seattle antique stores. On many pieces, the price gulf is even greater!
