Kathy Sterly, Snohomish oil painter, has been painting for almost 20 years with the goal of telling a story through her work. Mother Nature--with her various cloud formations, wild life, and landscapes--is her greatest inspiration. And her much-loved black labs are subjects that she especially enjoys painting. She is always in awe of the beauty of God?s creations. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English and a teaching degree in elementary education from the University of Washington. Allene Soshea finds great joy in her watercolor paintings of landscapes and flowers, all in their natural settings. Her interest in and observation of nature comes naturally from her childhood days on a farm on the prairies of Nebraska and her continuing interest in planning and tending to her flower gardens at her home in Snohomish. She received her art education at Canada College and at the California College of Arts and Crafts in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has participated in several gallery shows throughout the country and received the Grumbacher Gold Medal from the Society of Western Artists.

Fun place to go and a just a short drive from Seattle or Bellevue. It's good to get away from the big city crowds for a nice change or pace!
