ABC Children's Center

ABC Children's Center is a locally owned child care center in operation since 1988. We offer child care for infants 6 weeks thru 1 year and toddler programs for children 1-3 years divided by age and development. ABC has programs for 3-5 year olds and before and after school sessions for children Kindergarten thru 4th grade. There is a full time summer program for School age children. We are excited to announce that we are moving to a new preschool format here at ABC Children’s Center beginning this spring. We are investing in and implementing a High Scope curriculum and creating classroom environments based on this system. High Scope is a school design based on teaching children personal responsibility and follow through. We as teachers provide curriculum and classrooms settings that allow children to learn through self-direction while using equipment that allows for educational opportunities. High Scope curriculum is about supporting children’s development and guiding them based on their individual needs. Portfolios for each child to help track their growth in all areas of development will be provided by your child’s teacher. Parent progress reports and conferences will be offered on a quarterly basis. We are implementing this program in our three and four year old classrooms first and will expand our program one classroom at a time from there.
