VERY professional! Such a smooth process, and such a comfort to know pets are so well taken care of while their owners are away.
Simply live with two satified customers who's owners had peace of mind their loved ones were safe and cared for while away.
The owner Lynda loves the dogs as much as her own and all the caretakers feel the same way about the pets that are entrusted to them.
They take very good care of the animals, I know first hand!
I am not a customer but a caretaker. I know many of our caretakers in our network and they are the best! Very caring and responsible people! Great people to work with too!
1. Not a kennel!
2. They find out about your dog, and then provide several recommendations of places that fit your dogs personality. So, if your dog needs to run free in 3 acres with other dogs all day, they will recommend one place. If your dog needs more human contact, and to be allowed in the house all day, with a leash walk then they provide others.
3. Inexpensive - $30/night
Our Rudy loves to go visit Jane because she is so loving and accommodating, especially with terriers! Jane even lets Rudy sleep in her bed like he does at home! You can't ask for more than that. We are always confident when we leave our beloved dog with Jane of Pet Vacations. Jane is a "dog whisperer" and Rudy loves to visit her and her wonderful two Schnauzers. At Jane's house, the dogs come first. What dog wouldn't want to visit her???
My Westie loves going to Pet Vacations on Bainbridge Island! (He's been going for almost 4 years now) He considers Monique and Steve and all his doggie friends at Pet Vacations as his second family. Whether he goes for a day care session or for an overnight stay he just couldn't be happier. From the very first meeting I had with Monique and Steve, I just knew that they were "dog people", and could trust them completely to care for Tucker. They do a fabulous job of providing the best care imaginable! Their beautiful home (it is gorgeous) is designed and decorated with canine comfort in mind. Not only does Pet Vacations offer luxurious accomodations inside, they have the most beautiful gardens and yard where the dogs love to run and play together. Tucker loves going to Pet vacations because he gets to see Monique and Steve, gets to play inside and outside with his dog pals, gets to go on long walks, and can take a snooze on the grass in the sunshine or curl up inside in a luxurious dog bed when he's too tired to play any more. Pet Vacations is truly the best of all possible worlds--- for Tucker and for me!
We love Pet Vacations! Here's our story. We planned a rare vacation several years ago and took our sweet Bernese Mountain Dog Abby to a kennel. It was a nice kennel but when we picked her up her paws were raw from pacing back and forth. She could barely walk. We felt terrible and oh so guilty for leaving her. After that experience we did some research and found Pet Vacations. Monique, Steve & family are wonderful! They took Abby in as part of their family. She was free to explore their home, had a beautiful yard to play in and new furry friends to pal around with. Abby has since passed away but now we have two Berner Boys, Butler & Cooper. We wouldn't think of leaving them anywhere else but at Pet Vacations when we vacation. In fact we schedule our vacations around availability at Pet Vacations! It's important to us to be able to leave and know that the Boys are in great hands and are also having a wonderful time.
I have been leaving my Scottie Greta with Lynda of Pet Vacations for almost every trip I've made over the last 8 years. There is nothing worse than leaving your dog in an unknown situation while you're gone. With Pet Vacations I am always completely confident that Greta will be treated well and enjoy herself as much as I do while I'm away. She is always in the company, not only of Lynda, but usually 4 to 8 other little dogs, and has the run of her home and backyard. She is always happy to arrive and often rather blase when it comes time to leave. I wouldn't leave Greta anywhere else.
It is wonderful to be able to go on vacation without worrying about your pet. I know that Loki is well-cared for, comfortable, and getting the attention and exercize he is used to. And I'm sure Loki appreciates being able to sleep in a house (usually on the foot of his sitter's bed!) rather than in a concrete and wire pen! I'm so happy to have found such a wonderful service!
My beagles love going to Pet Vacations on Bainbridge Island. Monique has a great home filled with happy dogs. Indoor, outdoor priveleges in the large fenced grounds, and all the pampering they can handle. No worries about the dogs while on vacation. Spoiled dogs on couches, not cages. I Highly recommend Pet Vacations.
Pet vacations treated our sweet Louie (11 year old black lab) like he was part of the family. We were very nervous about leaving him because he has separation anxiety and is fairly high maintenance but with Pet Vacations we had nothing to worry about. He got walks everyday, played with other canine friends, and got lots of TLC. I don't even think he missed us!!! I highly recommend Pet Vacations.
Great, loving care for my lab pup of 18 months that loves space to run around and TLC at the end of the day, as well as other dog buddies he can hang out with.
We are never worried when we leave our dog with our favorite Pet Vacations sitter - flexible pick up and drop off, super loving home, and good price. We can relax knowing our doggie is being well cared for.
Pet Vacations found us an excellent sitter who has always been available when we've needed her. Our separation anxiety prone dog (who is deathly afraid of kennels) is very happy there, and gets tons of attention and exercise. He comes home happy and calm--so glad we found them!!
Pet vacations is the best solution for our dog. He just loves the places he has been and doesn't even "say: goodbye" him of. I should feel offended. But it means a lot to me that he is happy and well taken care off The caretakers look forward having him.
This has been the best thing for my little min pin Jazz. She starts in the car with little yelps and whines when we turn the corner to drop her off. She pulls us all the way to the front door and is off playing with her friends before we leave. And she has separation anxiety with out me expect with her sitter at Pet Vacations. I never have to worry when she's there and I am a worrier! I have been on great holidays to England and Rome and am not concerned about Jazz at home and we are off to Prague this year because we can with no worries about Jazz's care! dog!! I'm happy to write a great review but the best review is how happy Jazz is there and wonderfully wore out she is when we take her home! She loves her Vacations!!!!!!!!!
I have used PetVacations for at least 8 years, my Annie girl was quite a handful at times bossy little terrier mix. BUT, Lynda and Monique and Mary always made her very welcome and HAPPY! My girl has passed away but I am searching for a new furry friend and we will definitely use PetVacations. It gives me such a peace of mind while we are on vacation that our pets are having a great time too~ I do not know what I would have done without them over the years!
